Hey all,
I am working on modding a Radline Monster truck for crawling. So far I have locked the diffs, weighted the rims, and made a 5:1 drop in gearbox for better low range.
Major probs right now are chassis height and tire tread. Anyone know where i can get better tires to fit these rims?

My crawler has made great progress since last posting. I created a solid axle conversion (kit) for the radline differential (using a front diff casing and cast plastic axle holders) which uses brass tubing for the axle tubes so suspension can be easily customized from coil, to leaf, to quarter/half eliptical by simply soldering the different perches to the tubes.
I also fabbed up a rough triangulated four link suspension for the new live axle rear end which is a bolt on to the existing chassis. (moves center of gravity WAY forward).
Another item done is a (very) rough dual u-joint slip shaft to get the power to the rear end.
I am using the radline oil filled upgrade shocks mounted to the lower arms of the four link and the four link plates this set-up allows for almost 4" of travel of the rear axle.

sitting on its bump-stops (as low as it gets) no shocks yet

And last, cause it will be a crawler the obligitory flex shot.

Yeah it can tripod! It actually can flex the front axle 94 degrees (lays the axle upside down (too.. much.. articulation :D )
I figured out some better material than all thread for the links (still need to re-do the front ones)
