All of the trucks that i will post are running the same 1/25 ssmt monster chassis.
chassis mods:
orange off-road torqued motor with the orange gear
long rod shock mod with nearly 4" of suspension travel
removed rear skid plate (the front must stay on to protect the fragile steering set-up)
locked rear differential ( DO NOT LOCK THE FRONT UNLESS YOU REPLACE YOUR PLASTIC AXLES WITH SOME FABRICATED METAL ONES!! THE PLASTIC ONES WILL BREAK)
removed the tacky chrome battery covers and also painted a different set black
1/18th (mini rc18t) pro-line dirt hawgs with star cut foams (stock off-road tires shown below .. and people I have an abundance of the stock ssmt tires laying around, hint hint wink wink)
custom cut and painted Hummer body
homemade winch (cosmetic only)
homemade snorkel
homemade shovel

I had to trim up the body so the tires wouldn't rub.

Next came the Pro-Line Dirt Hawgs. They are a great all-terrain tire!

Chopping this up was more of a learning experience. I attempted to fishtail the dront and rear, hahaha. I have recently started on another baja-styled f-150 body. That is a mountain that I built in the pics, and I will make a thread on it soon.

I was inspired to make a clone of my buddy's Toyota. I had a blast. Sorry for not taking more pics of the build. I used the 1/24th Aoshima Hilux 4x4 kit. My next build will be an Aoshima 4Runner. I plan on making a build thread with that one!
I almost forgot to add that a removed some of the tread from the dirt hawgs. They really work great know!

drilled some holes in the bed to allow for the rear shocks to move freely

-also in the floorboard for the front, and I used the frame for a better undercarriage appearance. With a little modification i was able to use the same body mounts that come on the stock ssmt bodies.

ok so a week or so goes by, and I'm all done... once again, sorry for not taking pics of the entire build. The paint turned out crappy, and my stripe job was crappy as well. live and learn. The CA I was using frosted up the chrome and windows. Is there one out there that doesn't leave the frost residue?
This one of the last times where the side mirrors will be seen. They have since been lost in the deep cavernous mountain.

styrene battery box and the fuel cell that came with the kit to cover up the bed holes.

the exhaust kept on getting knocked off too, due to sheer rock crawling brutality.

I also made some tow straps, and they were so easy to make. I used the rope that comes on these stupid lollipop necklaces that are sold through my company (which is the same stuff that is used to make sunglasses holders), and get some hooks or chains (like a bath tub stopper chain), some CA or heat shrink tubing to secure the ends, and you've got your tow strap. I used CA because I didn't have any heat-shrink tubing at the time. The CA is holding up great. I also used the same hooks that I used for the straps to make some tow hooks for the chassis. I just glued them on.

I wasn't too sure about the pic, but I know for sure that I ordered some 1/18th claws.

well they aren't 7", more like 3-4". These tires are way to big for my rims. I will be doing some major resizing. :(
