don't let it dry this way as the top will stick to the surface and peel off your top primer coat, this ofcourse comes from experience =)

i put 2 coats of finish paint on. it dries rather quickly and all this can be done in one afternoon. once done painting, let it sit for atleast a day for the paint to dry thoroughly and prevent you from messing it up in the mean time

wow arch, great tut! just wanted to ask, how do you power the leds, through the car elecs or a seperate battery?

on these, i powered via a 9v battery that was latched to the top of the overland chassis. it included a slide switch so i could turn the light on and off. from the outside of the truck.
