Now i finally bought the right brazing rods(bought ones for iron/steel before ) i have started my first brazing job A roll bar for the landy,so far it's coming along great!,just need to add a few more strength bars after a cuppa.
Any/all input from experienced brazers is welcomed.
Here is the rollbar on the landy,it looks really narrow. I'm debating adding another bar each side but on the upright of the mainbar,not the top.Once they are attatched and strength bars added,it should make it look a lot wider.
Don't really want to throw this one away,materials cost too much!
I decided to make a bumper from one of the mog's original chassis rails,and braised up a lightguard,I will be adding mesh over the light areas too,here it is just mocked up,
I wanted to re do the paint so i could take some pics with the new metalwork fitted.Haven't checked paint stocks in a while(no painting in winter) and i don't have any flat black .
So i thought i'd go for a complete change of colour.After finishing it the first time i dropped it so after re doing it,i'm quite pleased with the results.I'm going to neaten up the arches by hand as they aren't right.Anyway here it is now.
